Following the events of Carthis, life seems to have gone back to normal for the two children of the Centre. But as they are on the verge of uncovering yet another secret, Miss Parker comes to realise she can only count on the one person she has been trained to distrust.
I could read this chapter a hundreds times, and I think I did. The two final scenes at the motel and at Ben's are AWESOME, I love the way they interact now that they're on the run together, it's amazing what you wrote for Parker's emotions after she saw Jarod coming out from the shower!! Really I can see the whole moment in my head so clearly!! Thanks a lot!!

this is so wonderful and probable. I'm sure too that Jarod would think about Miss Parker's face when having something to do with traumatized children, it's so like him.

Thank you for reading. It had been a while since I wrote a Pretender story (not counting the recent letters which have been, for the most part, characters musing and non-narrative stuff) and this was a good way to get back on track. In fact, it worked so well for me that the next story I wrote came out easier than I expected. It's called U for Unit and I will post it just as soon as finish typing and revising it for any bad spelling. Looking forward to deserve your review on that one also!

I'm so sad this is over! I loved it so much, Vicky! I realle hoped you would describe their "happily ever after" more, but I guess that was not the point of this fiction.
Anyway, as you know, I loved it very very much. And I like the fact you chose Agent Zane to help Jarod. I like her, I think Jarod trusts her a lot, maybe because she let her go to find Alex during tP 2001.
