This is Miss Roxy.
My real name is Rossella and I live in Italy. I'm 35 years old. I’m a wife and the proud mother of Andie and Ricky.
My former nickname was missparker87. I've loved The Pretender since I was 11 years old and since IOTH I've been really upset by its premature end.
Miss Parker and Jarod will always be my first OTP, that is why I write about them all the time.
You can find my tumblr blog at Isle of Carthis (all The Pretender related).
Here are my two youtube channels: yourunichase and isleofcarthis.
If you want to follow me on twitter I'm @beerok23.
I really loved your story! The description of MP and Jarod's feelings was great and detailed, I loved the way you made them think...
Thanks!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedLovely lovely lovely! I loved every word, and "the reason" was obvious but perfect ;)
great job!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedThis one was very nice, I loved the first chapters with Miss Parker's phone calls, they were sooo funny! And the happy ending is lovely and sweet, even if without a kiss. It's full of hope for the future. Nice job!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedIt's nice, I've always loved this movie and that final scene is some thing. It's nice to see it in a "happy ending" between Parker & Jarod ;) well done!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedThis was pretty nice, so sweet. I loved it ;)
thanks for sharing!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI loved this story very much! It doesn't need no sequel, you're right. It's a piece of cake that goes well by itself. I loved the whole situation. As usual, I'm pretty sure that Jarod would help MP say any cost, should she need him. We had many examples throughout the 4 seasons of the shows (and the movies!). Your Seth reminds me of Alex, another tortured soulf of the Centre. I loved it, icd, thanks for sharing!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI loved this! The first part at Ocee's is amazing, it looked like an AU fan fiction, I didn't understand it was a dream at once. And I also love Sydney's thoughts and his conversation with J. Lovely...
I think we all wish he would have done exactly what you tell us in this fic...
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI really appreciated this one. The whole story with double POV is well written. Parker's doubts are very realistic but I love the fact she surrendered at the end. I guess if Jarod used the right words, she'd melt down easily! Thank you!!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI read this fic twice, and I must admit it's a bit shocking ;) This Jarod is way over the edge, even if he succeeds in winning Parker's heart. I agree with the fact that him making love to another woman is a bit too much, but of course he has to move on with his 'tests'. Anyway, this story is original and different, I loved to read it! Thanks.
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI like the fictions featuring tragic events. It's so easy for them to accept the fact they're in love when they're risking their lives. This one truly reminds me of Titanic (the handcuff scene is lovely) and Poseidon. Nice job!!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedA Very nice one to be read. I loved the part with Jarod injured and Parker at his side, that was touching! Thanks!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedThis one was - well, different! The fact it doesn't include romance doesn't mean that there isn't chemistry between them, I love the scene at Ben's! And this turn of events is very original, the legacy an everything else. Very good idea, indeed. And your stories always were amazing ;)
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI hadn't read this one yet, because I'm not very fond of stories where Jarod and Parker have dozens of children, so I was a bit diffident. Then I came across chapter "Connections" and I read its final lines. It was amazing, so I decided to read the whole story and it was totally worth it. Your Jarod is always so sweet and full of regrets, while you always picture a very compassionate Miss Parker.
The thing I like the most in your stories is the way you describe the children and their bond with Jarod and Parker (I'm thinking about Charlie in Stumbling toward Nirvana or Teddy in Veil of Contentment).
With four of them here, it was a hard time for you, but I love the differences in their behaviour. JR is my fave and the scene with J dancing with Catherine really broke my heart, I was actually crying!
And even if in this story you didn't give so much space to Parker and Jarod's relationship, it was lovely to see her signs of affection for him. Like when they held each other.
You're always the best, Phenyx. Thanks for writing such beautiful fan fictions.
Phenyx this story was great. It was difficult to see such an angry Jarod at the beginning, but the whole scene at the ranch, with SYdney running ahim the two of them bonding is really lovely and well written. I loved the final chapter, and I'm glad Jarod came back home to Parker. Lovely, lovely! Thanks for sharing!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedOk so I came to this one almost by chance, and I found it AMAZING! It's the first time I read a non-centre story that I love so much. Parker and Jarod feelings were so real, and she was very sweet indeed!
I love almost every line, even if the part I enjoyed the most was the one J and Parker spent driving alone, while reaching Blue Cove...The shopping part was lovely, and also Jarod behaving as a child, not knowing how gorgeous he is ;)
So thank you, you deserved a ten cause this fic is great!!!
With a nod, Jarod answered. "Parker is the only constant in my life that I have ever been completely sure of."
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI loved this fiction Phenyx, as I loved almost every other story you've written. In this one MP & J attitude towards each other change a lot. It's nice because as soon as you're afraid for the fact he's calling Zoe, you realize that was just a moment to try to forget his problem with Parker and one second later they're kissing each other. That's cool! And so it is the part where Broots and Sam find out about them, I had this strangest grin on my face during my reading of that scene! ;P
You're one of the best writers around here... Well done :)
I liked this story, it reminds me a bit of "Next", the movie with N. Cage. The concept was beautiful, even if the scene with Jarod getting crazy was really hard to read and accept. Poor Jarod! Anyway the last chapter is very very sweet and beautiful, the tub scene, the picnic and the ice cream. Lovely!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedThis turn of events is very weird. J being part of the Parker curse drives him bad, poor J. At least he has his happy ending (?). I love Parker's attitude in this fic, she's understanding and lovely and he helps Jarod during the most difficult moment of his life. And I appreciated the final scenes where the two of them renovate "their" house. That was precious!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI don't know how I could have possibly missed this one. AMAZING! Ahah the first part with the wedding is really funny and I loved the way you describe their feelings, as usual. I've always hated zoe and this fic is really appreciated. Just a silly girl like her would leave Jarod the day of their wedding, Ahah!
Thanks a lot!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedThis is DIFFERENT, and that's why I like it. Charlie really is lovely as a kid, even more as an adult, and I love that memory you created of him and Jarod at the end. Finally, I must say this last chapter is one of the best ever read on this site, so thank you!
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedIt's the second time I read this fic and I must admit Chapter 9 is really difficult to "digest". Anyway, this is a nice story. It's different, special. Mercedes is a weird character: at times you love her, at times you want to kill her. But I love the fact she makes Parker open and realize that she loves J. And don't worry about the ending: Jarod told us once: "sometimes the destination isn't as important as the journey!"
I love these parts:
***
Parker glanced away guiltily. “Some things just aren’t for sharing,” she whispered.
***
“I didn’t know,” Mercedes admitted. “It wasn’t until I told him that you were gone, and saw the resulting look on his face, that I realized it was over between us. Hell,” she added with a shrug. “It never really started.”
***
“It’s been a difficult situation,” Mercedes admitted. With a smile she added, “But then, things have never been easy for the two of you.”
“There’s the understatement of the century,” Parker smirked.
I've read this fic twice and I still love it. I don't like the idea of Jarod being married with Zoe, but you made it so easy for him to fall out of love with her and to start loving Miss Parker again... The concept of the fic is brilliant and original, not overrated. And having it from Jarod's POV adds something too. So thank you! I love all your stories ;)
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI read this story a couple of times and I still like it. Parker might seem a bit cold and detached, but that's just what appears on the surface... I like the fact that in the end you made them become "a couple", and I love both Ethan and Broots' advices to Jarod.
Here are the lines I loved the most:
*** FUNNY
“Oh no,” Jarod said. “Not at all.” The pretender glanced up at Sydney, a sly grin spreading across his face. “Well...” he continued. “She does bother me in a way. But it is not the way that you think.”
Sydney smiled. “You find the sexual attraction to be distracting.”
Jarod’s head nearly spun around in shock. Wide brown eyes stared up at Sydney in a wonder that bordered on fear. “You know about that?” he cried.
The psychiatrist did his best not to laugh out loud. “Anyone who has ever been in the same room with the two of you knows about it.”
*** VEERY SWEET
“It’s cold out here, Parker,” Jarod scolded. “Go back inside where it is warm.” Casually leaning forward, Jarod kissed her as he pulled the fluffy edges of her robe more snugly around her. The aura that Ethan could see around his sister suddenly brightened to a blinding intensity and wavered outward until it encompassed the man holding her.
*** LOVELY
One did not need to be an empath to see what thoughts were running through Jarod’s head. Ethan knew that his brother was remembering the hundreds of moments that had occurred between him and Miss Parker in the last eight months. Moments when she had saved for him the last slice of dessert or slept on a miniscule corner of mattress so that he could have more than his share of the bed. How many times had Ethan seen Miss Parker leave the last three bites of food on her plate, only to nonchalantly pass them to Jarod? How often had she perched on the corner of the couch to watch some senseless film for the hundredth time, while Jarod sat contentedly on the floor with his back propped against her legs? This had not been the first time Parker had risen early to see Jarod off on some new adventure. Ethan knew that it would not be the last.
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedThis weird relationship among Lyle, Mp and J is so easy to read because you're great in descripotions of their feelings. This last part is great, you might even like Lyle!
“You are her something,” Lyle smirked. “You belong to her. Might as well tattoo ‘Property of Miss Parker’ on your forehead.”
Reviewer: missparker87 SignedI went through this yesterday night till very late. I loved it, there were many lovely conversations between J an MP, and I liked the fact she surrendered in the end. And Te fact she's worried for her age is very real. I read a few fanfic where she had one or two children but maybe we don't remember that she's already 40-42 at the end of the IOTH! ;) Thanks, nice work!
