Oh, please. Your story does NOT stink. I confess: I don't know anything about constructive criticism, however, everything looks fine to me. The story is progressing nicely. I like it. I'm still reading and I will continue to.
And Jarod, Jarod, Jarod! I agree with Ethan; Jarod is being an ass. This chapter makes me want to kick his face in more than my own fics make me want to kick his fan in- and that is no small feat, my friend.

I loved writing this chapter because I do love Miss Parker's relationship with Sydney. It's so natural and genuine, not artifact like the ones she has with other men in her life (but Jarod, of course).

You really think it was well written? Well this flatters me. Really.
Ethan's death was the conditio-sine-qua-non behind this story, the idea I had at he beginning to develop it. I thought that in my other long fiction, Mind Rain, tragedy wasn't included. I felt the need to put some major death in this one, as a pretext to help MP and J getting closer. I think it worked.

But the all 'ex' thing is something I always face in my fics because I can't stand the idea of something between the couple, and I don't like the idea of a 'cheating' Jarod, it just doesn't enter my mind. So if he's with Parker, he must have left Zoe. At least IMHO :) this was so fun to make up :)

(I read and reviewed this story when you first posted it back in 2014—the interwebs conspired against me. Again.). I enjoyed your story, San. Little Miss Parker is a nice fusion of mischief, precocity, and sweetness. It was rather thoughtful of her to think of Jarod, to give him that particular gift. Catherine's management of the incident, and the way she coolly chastised her husband (nice) is a testament to her diplomacy, grace, and defiance. Great job.

Notes: There is character death but Miss Parker, Jarod, Broots, Debbie, and Sydney are fine. The romance resides between Miss Parker and Jarod, but there are a lot of turns to get to it. Features almost everyone in the Centre, and even past episode characters that Jarod helped.
It's always a pleasure to discover new stories and this one is promising to be terrific. I have quite a bit of catching up to do (forty-nine chapters' worth) and I'm looking forward to it.
