Title: Chapter 1: The Morning After

I love how we get right into it with doubt being cast and just like on the tv series Parker and Sydney wonder if Jarod has snapped.  THey thought he was addicted to drugs again in the Junkie episode and are quick to believe the worst so that was in keeping with what we know.

I love this chapter so much.

Title: Chapter 2: Empire

I don't know how you do it so magnificently and really pull me in and not let go. So addicting. I love how in character they are all and the same intensity from tv.

Title: Chapter 4: The Darkness Within

Ompffffff! Jarod is so ... yummy Jarod. Parker is Parker. I love that I can SEE the characters and what they are doing. Really action packed and fast paced and I love it.

Title: Chapter 5: The Land of the Living

I keep worrying that something bad will happen, something more. I hope Parker will let Jarod love her. On the tv series she is clearly so afraid of him and a relationship with him. That gun always there. When he grabbed her hand in IOTH ni that car at the airport in Scotland she looked so terrified and shook.. and she cried some too. I can't wait!

Title: Chapter 6: A Step Forward

I need more and more. I don't want to finish this because then it will be over. :( I love this so much. It's so exactly what I wanted.

Title: Chapter 7: Two Steps Back

Ohhhh. Parker is so bad ass and still it's a facade. Just like the tv series. I love this story so much. Your writing and style is amazing.

Title: Chapter 8: Ticket to Ride

Parker is becoming what she once ridiculed. Minivans. I love that. I always thought she could be taken down a notch from the superior feelings. She didn't mean it. She's really afraid and vulnerable and uses the gun because she's afraid. You capture it all perfectly.

Title: Chapter 9: Home

Look at you bringing the happy ending home.. or happyish. I'm glad they didn't have sex. I love smut don't get me wrong but I love this. I see that the readers were pushing this one along. I wonder how many emails you received, so you gave readers what they wanted all along. I think that's sweet of you. I also am glad that you do what you have to do now and let the story write itself. Trying to please everyone must have been hard for you. It sounds impossible to do that. You handled it all with grace and pleasantness. Bless you. Thank you for this beautiful story. It's amazing.

Title: Chapter 2: Purgatory (part two)

I do feel sorry for Zoe. She wasn't likeable at all on the tv series but your prespective casts her in a different light. She never really knew Jarod and still doesn't and that's his fault. He pursued her but never let her in, just really was stringing her along on the series and cannonically you continued that and I respect you for not straying from what we already know to be true.

Can I just say that I love how you just tackle this topic. Some authors dance around it. Even on the tv series the word used was "attack" never rape. You yank away the stigma and call it by it's name and we need more of this kind of conversation. You aren't afraid of honesty.

I could always see Jarod raping her. It's what I really expecting to happen every time a new season came out. I don't know how to explain why. He abused sooo many positions of authority and crossed sooo many lines and always justified it and even fans justified it.

Like a roach he crept into Miss Parker's house while she slept and tampered with her gun. I don't care what his intentions were either. There's a power balance. He's a genius, a pretender, and she is not. I thought IOTH would be the tipping over point. He said, "we're alone now" and I was like oh shit here we go.

This is one of the most plausible pieces of literature I've ever read. Thank you for writing it.

Title: Chapter 3: Descent

The nature of their relationship, the ways Jarod has already manipulated her back in the tv series is part of what lends plausibility to this story. Jarod being able to get away with it and continue being abusive is another layer. This needed to be written for so many reasons.

The self blame and shame Miss Parker is dealing with is being exploited by Jarod. He knows this. He's been a therapist he knows this  It's all s part of the manitand control. He's violated a person's bodily integrity and autonomy before on numerous occasions, one being  stealing a man's kidney. This is what Jarod does. This could easily happen.

Kudos to you for writing it!

Title: Chapter 4: Gates of Hell

Always with that knife twist Mirage.

I've worked with so many domestic violence victims and personally have seen abuse get this out of control. It's so plausible. Jarod is so dangerous.. He's has his trauma and I've always thought he was resentful and angry at Miss Parker on the TV series . He did enjoy tormenting her. He really terrorized so many people.

This really resonates

Title: Chapter 5: Halfway to Heaven (halfway to hell)

I heard this was a kind of experiment, a social experiment maybe. Whatever the reason you wrote it I'm thankful you did. Rape is a horrible crime with horrible consequences and you demonstrate that.  I think sone fans try to justify Jarod no matter what he does. I like how you stayed true to the story and tv series and didn't let pleas for happy endings get in your way. You are wise. You know there can't be a happy ending when rape is involved. He broke trust. He hurt her. He took pleasure in doing it too.

Well done on transitions and characters too

Title: Chapter 6: Playing with Fire

Ummm did readers seriously ever believe a happy ending would be born out of a story titled "circles of hell" with your added words "twisted tale of despair"????? Do people not read the room?? lol.I know there are stories where Jarod rapes Parker and she pursues him!! This already obviously wasn't going to be that kind of story. This is more realistic. The only reason a rape victim would pursue a rapist is to kill him. I don't usually go in for rape stories but this needed to be written and it's honest. I don't mind graphic content as long as the story is honest and authentic. Yours is.

Title: Chapter 7: What fresh hell is this?

More honesty and authenticity. Jarod seems really sorry now. Parker still doesn't want him in her life or daughter's life. Why should she? Sorry fixes nothing, undoes nothing. I love that she still doesn't forgive. That's her right.

This is a gorgeous story

Title: Chapter 8: Hell and High Water

She still doesn't want anything to do with him. She doesn't want his money. This is exactly what someone in the situation would do

Jarod needing to get drunk to confess his sins means he isn't sorry at all . The lack of remorse is what leads to more dysfunction. I've been paying attention. Bravo!

Title: Chapter 9: Lost Souls

I went ahead and slid out of my chair and onto the floor when I read your note/warning. Great decision. Jarod a priest. I would have hurt myself falling in the floor if I hadn't heeded the words.

Hell of a twist!

I love it!!

Title: Chapter 11: Between Hell and a Turning Point (Part Two)

This!!! Parker is afraid, maybe even unconsciously of Jarod and so afraid that she'd marry AGAIN to hide from Jarod to make it harder for him to have access to her.  I love Nicholas for standing up to Jarod. Oomphf! The reason Parker doesn't want to look at Jarod is he's a rapist but Jarod leaves out that detail. Again you demonstrate his manipulations and cruelties.

Title: Chapter 12: (To hell) In a hand-basket (Part One: Confessions)

Victims often get sucked back in. Jarod is charming, handsome, and has done good things. It's a cycle of abuse you're writing. That's obvious or is to me. Circles of hell , cycles. It's a theme you have her. This couldn't have been easy to write. You do seem .. don't take this wrong.. I think you may be had to make yourself kind of numb and desensitized to be able to articulate this all so well. Even if you've never been in the situation you know enough about it to include small details that only people close to that kind of situation could know.

Whatever the case is I'm glad you wrote it.

Title: Chapter 13: (To Hell) In a Hand-basket (Part Two: Disengaged)

I've read stories where Jarod raped Parker and they go on to happily ever 🤬 bullshit and always wanted to see it play out honestly and realistically. You've done that. She is bound to him by a child she tried to hide from him because she knew. Canonical Jarod is obsessed with family, and would demand to see his child. I love the nuances too. You understood the assignment obviously.

Brilliant work.

Title: Chapter 14: (To Hell) In a Hand-basket (Part Three: The Last Resort)

You get it.. Some people don't get it,  I read somewhere that this and FON were social experiments. I know some people defend Jarod no matter what he does.

You aren't those people. I love that about you.

This is a tragic and plausible story that needed to be written.

Donald Trump came along after this to run and showed his predator side and people still defend him no matter what too. He admitted to grabbing what he wanted and women were like yeah that's what he did to me but society laughed at those women and defend donnie.
I think you understand this ...I hope I'm right. People are frustrating. If it were Lyle and not Jarod people would have been like "Lyle needs to DIE die die."

Do you think there's a bias for Jarod and against Lyle? I do. If this was a social experiment we learned that people will defend certain offenders no matter what they do....and blame victims .  A thought provoking story. That's one reason I live you. It's my favorite characters and it's philosophical, psychological, and intelligent.

I hope to read more like this from you.

Title: Chapter 1: Purgatory (part one)

Oh, I love it. A literal "resort" [maybe the last resort they ever visit together??] and a "last resort" ei last ditch effort. I love your play on words, double meanings, the way different stories and lives in the fics parallel.

She's still in love with him. That sounds hard. I know it happens tho. I've never seen it written. I know that in another of your stories[it was Oblivion] Parker told Jarod that she didn't leave because she had fallen out of love with him.

This holds true. She didn't run away in this fic because she stopped loving him. She ran because he hurt her, and she was terrified. I think some of that terror comes from still having the feelings. She knew he could use her feelings for him to manipulate her. I think that's a valid fear.

Usually when authors write about rape in fanfic or anywhere the rape is glossed over, forgotten. The aftermath of it, the trauma is never even mentioned. Ever. They pair end up happily ever after. Parker even pursues a love relationship with Jarod sometimes in those stories. Jarod is delicious. I know that. Look at the guy. He's Michael T. Weiss. Of course he's hot.I understand why those authors would do that and have Parker overlook the rape for a happy ending with him. But it isn't honest. It doesn't matter how hot he is. It's rape. It's terrible.

BUT you show it. You let the story continue and you do it honestly. This is what rape really looks like. She was running from her feelings for a rapist and this is why. She's still confused. You show the pain, the confusion, the regret. She is still in love with him and doesn't want to be but can't help it.

This is accurate, scary, and brilliantly written.

I'm wowed.
