I thoroughly enjoyed this, and have often wondered about Jarod and dear Eddie myself at times and just how close the Pretenders were back in the good old bad days, haha. Your stories are lovely.

This is very different from anything else I've read as far as structure is concerned. You left just enough to the reader's imagination. Good job.

Oh wow, I've been so pleased with the 'random' fics that pop up on the home page.

I love the way Zoe maintains her composure until Jarod leaves, and no, she doesn't know him. This is very much how the Z/J story could have played out. Even though she's carefree and in some ways childlike, (strawberry chapstick- so Zoe- like) I believe she would 'know enough' to know when to fold the cards and end the game. 

Simply put, this fic is brilliant.

Typical Parker and Jarod always hurting each other even when they don't mean to. She's going to kill him if he doesn't watch that smart ass mouth of his. If she hasn't already..clicking now..

I really want to read the rest of this and love it so much for so many reasons that I've requested this as a featured fic. (though it has yet to be featured haha.) Please update this.

Very beautiful. You nailed Parker's tthoughts (or my opinion of what they would be) and particularly enjoyed the way you pointed out this: "...white knight...riding off into the sunset with every damsel in distress..." (oh how true)

Also the "missing pieces"..."unfinished business" and the overall despair.

oh  my wow....incredible!  The setting here was so somber, like being there with him and oh poor guy, he was never taught about god, not I'm aware of anyway but no, after what he has suffered, I imagine it would be quite difficult to believe in any sort all-powerful, omnipresent higher power who is loving and supposedly just and kind...not after the abuses he survied. Poor J. Amazing job Catherine!

Hmm, this is amazingly well written and the sheer hopelessness that you conveyed, the "wanting to wake up" , the fact that even when she awoke, it was into another nightmare.. and all of the nightmares, all possibilities. Quite plausible. What else can I say? Amazing.
