I thoroughly enjoyed this, and have often wondered about Jarod and dear Eddie myself at times and just how close the Pretenders were back in the good old bad days, haha. Your stories are lovely.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedOh my ...magnificent indeed. That was so beautiful and eloquent. You wrote the characters as I remember them, just so perfect. So sad, so very sad. Amazing piece here, a definite ten and a must-read!
Reviewer: Mirage SignedThis is very different from anything else I've read as far as structure is concerned. You left just enough to the reader's imagination. Good job.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedThat. Was. Incredible. That was amazingly incredible but so sad, oh poor Tommy. (Hmm, gorgeous) A ten, of course! Him and your story..
Reviewer: Mirage SignedOh wow, I've been so pleased with the 'random' fics that pop up on the home page.
I love the way Zoe maintains her composure until Jarod leaves, and no, she doesn't know him. This is very much how the Z/J story could have played out. Even though she's carefree and in some ways childlike, (strawberry chapstick- so Zoe- like) I believe she would 'know enough' to know when to fold the cards and end the game.
Simply put, this fic is brilliant.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedAh, the "random stories" on the home page are once again being very kind to me. Jarod at Parker's mercy and with drunk fruit in the room, no less. Hmm, I absolutely LOVE that notion. (With or without the fruit)
Reviewer: Mirage SignedTypical Parker and Jarod always hurting each other even when they don't mean to. She's going to kill him if he doesn't watch that smart ass mouth of his. If she hasn't already..clicking now..
Reviewer: Mirage SignedAha! Fun with knives and ... I bet the boy's in big trouble now but ahhh (no!) where is the rest of this story? I really want to know how this ends. Bring on the darkness!
Reviewer: Mirage SignedI really want to read the rest of this and love it so much for so many reasons that I've requested this as a featured fic. (though it has yet to be featured haha.) Please update this.
Reviewer: Mirage Signed*cracks whip* You haven't updated since 2005; that's absolutely criminal, it's like (excactly like) something Craig and Steve would do to us. Cruel. Postively cruel.
Oh now, this is typical lab rat Jarod, always strange and cryptic. You nailed the characters! Great job.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedThis is excellent, so well written, and in such vivid detail and yet, so succinct. Congrats!
Reviewer: Mirage SignedOh, I love it! And it's about damn time he gave Parker the diary! Great story.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedAbso-damn-lutely! WOW! You hit the nail on its proverbial head with this one. Brilliant, Catherine, and nicely summed up in so few words which only adds to the brilliance. A must read and a definite 10! *wonders why there aren't more reviews*
Reviewer: Mirage SignedVery beautiful. You nailed Parker's tthoughts (or my opinion of what they would be) and particularly enjoyed the way you pointed out this: "...white knight...riding off into the sunset with every damsel in distress..." (oh how true)
Also the "missing pieces"..."unfinished business" and the overall despair.
Nicely done.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedThat was amazing Catherine, so dark, the hopeless so vivid when she realised that J had "followed" her...heartwrenchingly beautiful. I love the Romeo and Juliet pretender twist...perfect!
Reviewer: Mirage Signedoh my wow....incredible! The setting here was so somber, like being there with him and oh poor guy, he was never taught about god, not I'm aware of anyway but no, after what he has suffered, I imagine it would be quite difficult to believe in any sort all-powerful, omnipresent higher power who is loving and supposedly just and kind...not after the abuses he survied. Poor J. Amazing job Catherine!
Reviewer: Mirage SignedAmazing. You conveyed so much in so few words, great atmosphere, dark and heavy with emotion. Love it.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedHmm, this is amazingly well written and the sheer hopelessness that you conveyed, the "wanting to wake up" , the fact that even when she awoke, it was into another nightmare.. and all of the nightmares, all possibilities. Quite plausible. What else can I say? Amazing.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedOoooh wow...wow! I think that Mr. Parker has truly deluded himself into believing that he has Parker's best interests at heart. "taming her, giving her strength, armor... and I love how you left it for us to assume who counters his belief with "your angel doesn't love you anymore" - perhaps Parker herself or ...could it be Thomas? Jarod? Syd? Catherine's ghost...gosh, so thought provoking. Love it really and can't wait to read more of your stories.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedOoh, I like! And that's probably how it will go down. Not that it will ever really do gown- thanks Craig and Steven.
Reviewer: Mirage Signed
Good job! The story is very well written and I have to say that it's always wonderful to see the bad guys put away where they belong or in jail (which is close enough, I guess.)
Reviewer: Mirage SignedOoh wow, where is the next chapter? I do hope you will update this soon.
Reviewer: Mirage SignedNice read. A completion to each story, good idea and very well written!
Reviewer: Mirage SignedOh wow, I'm not even MP/J shipper but wow, that was so nicely done. Great job!
