Ooh, I loved Parker's reaction to Sydney's snubbing Lyle and it's true: had the matter concerned Jarod, Parker would have all of Syd's undivided attention. I love all the personal conflicts and speaking of the rat: I don't miss him but certainly, he will rabid when he learns of yet another Pretender? Yes? Hmm, nothing like a glass of a wine and a good read.

Parker and Lyle together is a terrific idea but the idea that they are siblings, well, I'd generally cringe at the thought of incest period but not when it concerns The Pretender because I'd still rather see her with Lyle (even if he really is her brother) than with Jarod.
And you write them so well, you have a grasp of the characters and you make Lyle and Parker so natural and at ease with each other. Splendid!

I generally am not fond of original characters but I sympathize with Kainda. I can almost feel how apprehensive and afraid she is to be in a new place, with new people and her sadness at having lost Baruti, someone she was obviously close to/respected. And I love that she's strong and intelligent enough to realize that there might be something to learn, something to gain from the new experience and chooses to focus on the positive. this is the first lyle/parker story I ever read
and despite my skepsis when I started to read this story I am actually loving it.
lyle/parker is certainly f***ed up, but f***ed up in a good way
You have a nice writing style and a good grasp on the characters.

I have to say, Karina is beginning to remind me an aweful lot of Brigitte. But then again, she (Brigitte I mean) did arrive at the same time as Lyle, so if she was Tri to...hmm
Can''t wait to see what exacty she's got cooking for our little gang here. And what's going to happen with Kainda... Do I perhaps feel a plot climax coming on..?

Mnn, interesting that you can draw likenesses from Brigitte and Karina. Perhaps it was a subconscious act on my part, but I didn't base Karina on anyone. *scratches head in thought*

Karina is up to NO good, and this I can promise you :) As for Kainda, perhaps there might be a climax coming soon... not sure when though, there are still some points that need to be ironed out.

*snickers* The perks of coming late: having more than one chapter to read. Karina is very intriguing but it obvious she is up to no good (is there anyone from Lyle's past who would be cause anything but trouble?)
All shall be revealed in time (when I manage to convince my musing to get its act together) so you don't need to revert back to poking with sharp objects. A softer approach is all that's needed.

this started as a nice mystery, suspense and adventure, however, well written it is, I just can't get into the Parker/Lyle plot. I didn't realize that was part of it. My fault for not reading the description. Your writing is good, it's just not my type of story.
No harm intended. Should you try another go at a story not involving this twist. I will read.

But I have to say, if my boss was trying to make my boyfriend into a killing machine, I think I would consider a change in career. Or perhaps a vacation. I hear Fiji is nice this time of year.

But yaaaay on new chapters, and yay on me finally getting the time to catch up. I love that about this story, whenever I have the time and energy to read fanfic, there HD is with it's shiny long-ness and new-'n-exciting-chapters-ness. Hopefully that made sense. Altough I’m not a Lyle fan I’m also rooting for him. In your twincest stories I always end up liking Lyle and despising Jarod for his meddling. It’s an upside down world. And I like Centre intrigue, always found it far more interesting than Jarod’s pretends. Great chapters! Keep them coming!
