Oh oooh can I just say that Stella is probably my favorite original character of all time and fandoms? Like I love Olivia and Goth girl from Nemesis and love Brandt from darkness falling and Kirkland from a heroes heart but Stella rules!

Ooh this chapter is a refreshing shift from real life and maybe from so much Pretender darkness. I'll be honest anything seems better than real life sometimes with all the politics and police brutality. I don't live in the US and even I am tired of hearing about Donald 'pussy grabber' 'wishes a sex trafficker well' 'uses music against the wishes of the artist' Trump.
I even read Forces of Nature again.. my printed copy of it.
So thank you. I mean... really thank you Mirage. You write and you write so well that I can escape from dumb trump and coronavirus for as long as I read you. That's special. You have a special gift and I thank you for sharing it with me.

Let me tell you why I love this.
You have Stella, a poc, a transwoman, a lesbian, and she loves Parker unconditionally, she loves Parker's children unconditionally, she validates Parker, she supports Parker WHILE also calling Parker out on any bullshit like "you knew he was Jarod when you had sex with him" while also being compassionate and sympathetic. She is the best friend I've never had and have always wanted. Stella and Parker found each other and connected because they were both the outcasts. Parker with children and no father and Stella a lesbian trans poc.
I think there's a real struggle for Parker to want to be who she was back when she was pretending to hate Jarod AND to still be worthy of Stella's friendship. I think Parker doesn't know who to be. You have done an outstandingly amazing job of displaying that identity crisis, the crisis of conscience.
You also have Parker being accountable, which shows enormous character growth on her part. She said it wasn't a mistake, wasn't an accident. Jarod danced her to the door. Parker recognizes all of that.
My favorite characters are all grown up and mature and I love that. I can't help but love the addition of Stella.
Please write more and please update all of your other novellas and works. You're amazingly talented, really gifted.

can't stop grinning at your spot on characterisations and I can't tell you how much I've missed Miss Parker's voice and Jarod's voice. I love the new voices too! You never disappoint Mirage. I know that Jeffrey Osbourne tune. I love that Stella would simply begin singing at random. I know a couple of women who break into song in the middle of a conversation. They are the best people. Stella's a good spirit and more than just a supportive role. She steals the show really and fits with the established characters. More when you're able please. I'll be waiting.

Parker asking Stella if she really looked as not ok as Jarod had her believing she did is the most Parker thing ever. She had to make sure she looked ok. I need more of this right now. Thank you for not making this chapter chick flicky. They talk like women not school girls and I love that. Stella cares that her friend is protecting herself with protection. That is awesome. It's perfect and they are all real and the characters are all fleshed out and just like I remember them. I like how candid everyone is and no one's being full of sh!t. I know it's called the Pretender but I don't like posers and pretenders. What can I say? This is refreshing as hell. Thank you for Stella too. She is briliant. I hope you'll show the dinner Parker and Jarod have and not leave that part out. I want to see how they progress. I don't think it'll be easy. How could it be?

Parker's remark about dental dams lol. I love that you keep it real and keep them in character and have comedy in this but you also talk about condons and dental dams and revelant info that needs to be openly discussed with no taboo or shame. Stella rules! I love her. She dazzles seriously and brings so much to these characters I know and love. How empowering that Miss Parker says she doesn't regret anything. But yeah, she's going to feel a little weird about sex with Jarod after that whole lifetime of not touching him thing that is really hard to ignore and she was trained not to touch him.... ummmm except to tie his hot a$$ up and take him back to the centre so yeah. I know you think Jarod is hot right? Winks. I'm kidding. He can be annoying I guess so yeah point to you Mirage. Did he say 'trust me' too many times? Or was the "believe me" thing? Trump does the 'believe" me thing so I can see the problem there. But you still know Jarod is a good guy right? Anyhoo You nailed all the complexities and still left Stella a sympathetic friend who has MP's back no matter what. Unconditional love... oh I love that. I wish there was more of that.
