Bravo, Mirage. I know you're relieved that Parker has been saved. AS if that wasn't enough DEBBIE is the one who caught Jarod before he escape again. 
I know it must have been painful for Debbie losing Parker so soon after being rejected by her own mom and she was so young and I know Debbie saw herself in the little girl Parker had been and understood that Parker wasn't born to be a bitch but lost her mom and had to protect herself with a bitch exteriror. Debbie knew.  Debbie is really healthy here emotionally. She doesn't let Jarod play her. 

I think Parker fell in love and there was a cycle there as far as men go. 

Mr. Parker was a lying, manipulative bastard.

That priest that try to get to third base with Parker and Parker broke his finger was a lying, manipulative bastard.

That Michael Patrick guy Raines hired who slept with Parker was a lying manipulative bastard. 

The only one who was a lying manipulative bastard was Thomas and he was killed.

Jarod's naturally a liar and is naturally manipulative and like the other always believed he was justified, no matter what he did. 

Parker is easy to get sucked into that kind of controling dynamic without even realizing it. But she did love Jarod and obviously still does. 

I'm so worried and also very excited to know what the next chapters will hold.

How on point is that? Debbie being very Miss Parker like, just like she wanted to grow up to do, and taking Jarod down and I was like someone call 911. Her brutality was all in the way she slayed his ass. It was a K O. 

Ummm yes, wow, I can just feel Broots' agony and hopelessness and fear of hoping, and god, I love him, too. I know. He's just so sweet, and so cute. You really hold nothing back in your descriptive work. It's so beautiful but not overdone. I love it.

Oh, wow. Have I thanked you lately for continuing this? Thank you for continuing. It's the hard thing, I know. I remember how much you dreaded each chapter of FON but you preservered and delivered it and did it brilliantly, and I see that same reluctance now. It doesn't show in the writing. Your feelings aren't obvious at all in the story. You sort of set your jaw and square your shoulders, push up the sleeves and get right to it. It's amazing the way you separate feelings from the writing. A little compartmentalisation maybe??

This is exquisite, hell of a psychological thriller and only someone like Jarod would have the intelligence to do what he has done. 

Although, gotta say, the US pos president has totally brainwashed his cultists. "I could say the stupidest craziest things and you'd all love it." And then clapped in agreement. That koolaid's something else I guess.

I think that if he slice that man up from the Countdown episode and steal his kidney he could eat veal and fois gras and do what he's done to Parker. 

That conscience was gone long away. He's been playing judge, jury, and executioner since the day he escaped the Centre. 

I didn't always believe that, but it's so clear to me now.

Life is so insanely hard right now. The Pretender is my comfort show. I know the lines all by heart by now. It's so amazing to have new amazing content even if I'm reading. Reading you is very much like watching an episode.

I know you update as often as you can. I know you have your own life.

I want you to know about the little sparks of joy you bring me, the nostalgia, the anxious feeling of a new episode when I read you, the tingle of excitement at the spine. I just need this, I need this so much.
