Broots is still such a sweetie and Sydney is still such a shrink. Brilliantly executed!

Oh, man, I love this. A second signal. They are so in character. I'm watching it instead of reading it I want you to know. You illustrate with words and it's so amazing. I love how Broots sees Sydney's face and stops explaining and just gets to the point. I think of Parker's "skip the tram ride, Broots" lol.

I feel the frustration, the headiness of being so close and still too far, and Broots' real worry for Parker. I feel his deep hatred for Jarod too.

Sydney is such a shrink, as always. Broots isn't wrong about junkies and as someone with personal experience I know that he has every right to distrust a junkie. I'd almost forgotten Broots ever even had a wife. I love the way Broots stood his ground and gave back. Sydney still has that fathers day card, and preaching at Broots about a bias. Lordt. Who is he fooling? Psychiatrist needs to heal himself already.

I love it. You're a hell of a story teller and author. I'm so eager to read more and will wait. IMPATIENTLY.

Jarod has had the time and if anyone could do it... and would anyone here be surprised. The guy had to hallucinate his mum to stop himself from killing a man and he did violate that one man's autonomy by taking out his kidney and it was a skeezy motel. The parallels to rape in a skeezy motel are drawing themselves and I didn't always realize that... it was only after reading you that I went, oh, shit, true dat.

I think Sydney is right that Jarod doesn't want to hurt her. But neither did Mr. Parker right. So. You say a lot without having to say a lot. It switches on the mind and I'd love to sit down with you for a few weeks and have a big conversation about this series.

I'm loving this story. It's plausible. Scarily plausible.

Holy holy wows! You're really going to follow through, and I was so afraid you wouldn't. Is it difficult to write this? This is Jarod, so, and we know he has that darkness you've always talked about, and he also has such a strong sense of juistice. I know you caught some hell for writing FON in the beginning because he's Jarod and people really thought he was acting within the law all that time, impersonating cops and doctors. Do you know how violated I would feel to learn that my doctor wasn't a real doctor? YOU would. I can tell. Heck I feel violated as it is to see a real doctor who sucks at being a doctor and then charging me tons of $$$$ for doing a shitty job.

The writing is powerful, your prose always is, the narration is .. magnificent. I'm so excited and tingling with emotion. You really have the characters. They are clay in your capable hands. You are a master.

Omfg! Please let Jarod have implanted Parker. Wow. I know we talked about that and you were like, "implausible" but come ON! Please. I know Broots is desperate. Poor baby. I love that the rifle was a bluff by Sydney to see Jarod's reaction. Shrink is gonna shrink am I right? He had to know, needed his insights into Jarod's psyche. "blah blah" Broots is right. Broots nailed it all.

The syringe! I was wondering why they'd be going after MP with a syringe of all things. Broots knows all about Jarod's affinity for needles!! OMFG! They played Jarod. H@ll yeahhhs! They are tracking the syringe. Broots knew Jarod would want it. Makes sense.

The characters are... the characters, so in character. Broots and Sydney are real enough to touch. You really do justice to all of the characters. Oh, snap, I love Sam, too. He's a sweetheart in real life, too and he's Sam in real life too.

I'm still surprised and stoked that you are finally writing a FON sequel. I know what a wild ride that one was and now I'm all buckled in and wearing a safety helmet ready for this.

Knowing that Parker has been drugged and brainwashed and is a prisoner changes the tone of her behavior completely. If I hadn't read FON I'd be like yeah they are in love and normal and being intimate like all married people but ughhhhh hhh huh hmm it's all a lie that Jarod has created. It's Jarod. He can do anything. He could easily do this.

The darker parts that you explore are necessary and I appreciate you. You're fearless for deep diving and showing us what some humans do.

I'm so excited and eager for more.
