You write so vividly that I feel their pain. Ugghhhh uh huh! They must avenge now and heal. I can't wait for more.

Whoa, ouch. This one hurts a lot. It's rich in detail, exquisite descriptive work, really sharp writing, incredible pacing. Your prose is beautiful, the transitions are seamless, and the characters ARE the characters I know and love well. It's all plausible. It is the Centre. All in all it's an amazing chapter. Thank you for sharing it with us.

God, wow. Stunning and heartbreaking. You have a certain cohesiveness in your stories, you keep the chapters tight and concise. I read in awe. You always have that ... I don't know what to call it but it's the magical thing, the talent that makes a story pop that all of the best authors have. I love the clarity you write with too. I love this. It's not easy to watch my favorite characters in this kind of pain and I am watching, it's more like watching than reading. I know you will bring them through this. Congratulations and more please.

Ohhhhh the way you talk about mourning and tragedy blows me away. You seem to really climb inside and experience it. You drag it all back out with you and show it us. Like, look at this, look at this terrible pain. I see it Mirage. I feel it to.

Oh, my heart. Stunning writing, Mirage. You give us such a intimate look inside beginning with the silence of the house, and the Major's unhealed wounds, and then Emily's eye witness account and her inability to confide her fears and pain completely because she doesn't want to cause her father even more stress. We learn that Ian took the news badly and then you move us upstairs to Jarod's bedroom where he has carried Parker, and put her to bed. Grief can be crippling like that. For parents, in particular, and that anger is understable. We know that Parker has been fueled by rage for a while, all through the series, and she even wanted to look the man who killed Thomas in the eye before he died in the electric chair.  That anger is her religion. It saves. 

Jarod agrees with her either because he knows Parker needs revenge or he needs revenge too only he calls it justice or both. It's the right thing to do. Their child deserves justice. It's so refreshing to read you. It does my heart good. This world right now. With the military being unleashed on LA, on American citizens exercsing their legal right to protest that American citizens are being unjustly deported to horrible prisons in other countries by McGrabby Rapist's Gestapo.... and that orange rapist mcGrabby TinyHands in the White house... grrrrr. It's weird and sad that I prefer a Pretendverse to the real one. I thank Jaccie for this website and her writing and all of the authors and you. This place is like a church for me.  I worship hard here.

I have to say that you make Emily quite likeable. WE don't learn enough about her on the tv series to know if we like her or not. You always make her relatable. Your writing is clear and plausible and I'm hanging on every word and craving more. Thanks for being you.

Always impressive, Mirage. I believe that a tragedy of this magnitude would be necessary to galvanize Parker into reaching a turning point, taking the turn with Jarod and doing what is needed. It's plausible. Heartbreaking, for sure, but plausible and beautiful. The way you write about grief is magnificent, the same way you write about everything. The beauty in the writing makes the pain I feel worth it. Congratulations.

Really poignant. You write Emily's feelings as not her making it all about her but instead her showing empathy and fear. She's afraid to sleep while life is in upheaval. Ian suffered an anxiety attack, Sydney has arrived, her father is walking wounded, Jarod and parker seemed wrecked. I've been on the outside of grief like that, having to care for the grieving, be the person watching the house,  and be brave. They are still hiding from the centre and under threat.

You did right by all of the characters and the series.

Doing the hard thing no matter how much it fucking hurts. I feel that.
