Aces Mirage! My ex girlfriend is a huge Michael T. Weiss fan and she got me hooked on the show and broke my heart. I think she left me to pursue a crush on him... but I still love the dvds of the pretender and I've been reading you for many years. You've written another page turner. I wish you'd update more often and write many more novels. You've got the characters down and I can see and hear them when I read you. How do you always write something original I don't know but I hope you keep writing and sharing your talent with us.
Author's Response:
Well, that's not fun. You seem to be reacting appropriately, staying cool-headed- good vibes etc. Keep doing that.
Thank you for reading and reviewing, Jake.

I love all of this and really love the tender scenes between Jarod and Sydney. It's really intimate and tender the way he shaved Sydney. Oh, God. I need more. Please write faster.

Fabulous work as always Mirage. You keep the pages turning for me and I could repeat myself and talk about the perfect characterisations and transitions and all of that brilliance but I know you know what you're doing. Keep doing it. I'm hooked hard.
You still haven't got that selfie with Michael T. Weiss? Have you met him? I think you have and you are holding out. You could update his on how he's doing if you have met him recently jus sayn. I read your response to my reviews. I'm glad I don't bother you by talking about him and it's true what you wrote that it's a testement to him and his ways that I want you to meet him and that I can't shut up about him. Have you seen him lately omg!?! he looks so much older and so much different and still really totally good looking but with gray beard and gray hair and doesn't even look like Jarod much anymore.. and do you like that more or less? I know you once said you didn't like Jarod all that much, his duplicity or something and all. I'm just really curious. I'm glad you're not freaked out by him and all. and all. So yeah. keep writing.
Love you and your work. MORE!! NOW!!!

I love MP's gouge about Jarod liking to watch. I didn't catch that one the first 10 times I read this. I love your writing. You know these characters too well I think. MOre please? Can they please have sex finally? I know they had some oral sex in the past but I want them to have real sex. I know there are other stories you've written with them having sex and you had to hold your nose and just write it anyway tho you didn't want to but I want them to have sex in this universe too. Please.
Author's Response:
Well-- mm, oral sex is real sex. They might engage in intercourse eventually ugh. I hate writing that stuff- er, technically it's the vivid imagination aspect of writing intercourse that I dread. We shall see what happens maybe. Thanks for reading and reviewing, Felicia.

I can't say how much I love this. The characters... are completely in character and you never fail to bring them to life and flesh them out. The story is original, plausible. Please continue sharing with us.
It's been a comfort and joy to see you here and you've been here for years constantly working and you'll never know what it means to me. You're a touchstone and you keep the Pretender alive. Thank you.
Author's Response:
Are you reviewing me? Are you certain you're reviewing me? If you are, it's rather generous. I hope people don't read this one review and develop unrealist expectations.

Exquisitely done as always Mirage.
Jarod is right. There are no curses. It was emotional abuse. I love that Jarod insisted that he and MP are still friends and have always been. The relationship built on friendship can handle the hell they have been through and the pain they caused each other. He did the right thing not telling her now about his feelings. You just keep pulling me in and pulling me in. I need more right now young lady!

I don't have time to log in. I wanted to say how much I love your writing. You are an exceptional author. The characterisations are the best.
You mingle the perfect amount of real life into this and I almost didn't notice. Sydney's research being misunderstood, Raines lying about it being rushed. It reminds me of the Covid vaccines and the covidiots who don't understand science and how results can be repeated and are verifiable. Another thing you did was talk about the pizza establishment and conspiracies that led dummies to shoot the place. Magats don't care that trump is a pedophile and trafficker and that Gym Jordan let boys get assaulted. They excused roy moore and so many other. They chase lies and almost kill people for no reason while ignoring all of the republican filth. I always look for the easter eggs. You are brilliant.

Your writing is too addictive. That is my only complaint. The chapters could be longer. Two complaints but that's all. I hope you will keep writing for us. I love how you write these characters. I mean really, you are the best Pretender author. Awesome awesome writing.

Girl, you are a rockstar! I could see the murkiness outside and feel the damp and smell the rain. Your chapters are always like episodes of the pretender and I will always come to you for my pretender fix. It's very realistic to me that the younger kids wouldn't want to follow in their triumvirrate granddaddies footsteps and that evil people are scared of cancel culture. We saw that Miss P didn't want to do her job either and those younger than her in higher positions of power have the ability to say no. The kids are all right. Mils get a bad wrap, mostly from boomers. But look at the mess teh boomers made.
Amazingly well done as always Mirage. It's so nice to see them in character. You do justice always. Congratulations!!

Oh, I love this. It's so refreshing to read you. Somehow you always write something fresh and original and still fascinating and brilliant.
The character development is beautiful. These two have grown...but not so much we don't recognize them. Miss Parker is the perfect marriage of strength and vulnerability and you always capture her and all of the characters just as they are on the tv show.
I love the tenderness between Jarod and Sydney, that little father-son moment was beautiful and something I would have liked to see more on the show.
The moments between Jarod and Parker... oh, what can I say? You're a wordsmith Mirage and you know where to put the characters and how to write a fantastic story. I'm loving Jarod right now for keeping his feelings to himself while Miss Parker deals with the past and tries to resolve that trauma.
Thank you for calling it accountability culture. It's been a long time in coming too. I noticed that you said millineals were falsely accused of things including ruining sex offenders careers and it took me a minute but yeah, the people who ruined the sex offenders careers is the sex offenders, not the whistle blowers, witness, victims, etc. I needed to see this today. I'm so tired of certain people blaming everyone but the sex offender. Will there be a happy ending for Jarod and Miss Parker?

Ah, Mirage. You're a master wordsmith. This is a fantastic balance of emotions and remarkable prose. It's extraordinary and powerful. Humor, heartache, and tragedy are all in play, and you don't miss a beat. The characters are exactly as they are on my DVDS, the dialogues are refreshing and plausible. You're not afraid to let these characters be who they are and let the story naturally unravel. Nothing feels contrived. I particularly love the intimacy in this chapter between Jarod and Miss Parker. Congratulations. You've been here for at least 10 years and I'm grateful you're still here continuously writing for us on this 25th anniversay of The Pretender. I look forward to your next installment.

Ooh yahy! They have feelings for each other anyway after all this time. Will be seeing more from Lyle? He's got a long way to go to start getting better. He's not someone you'd think of as being suicidal and that's what makes this all the more intriguing. Some criminals do want death by cop when they know they can't get away with their crimes. I can't wait to see what you and these characters do next. More please? I feel so much gratitude to you for still being here and hope you will be here to usher in the 100th anniversary of TP too!
Author's Response:
Hi, Renee, yes, we're going to be seeing more Lyle, Sydney, & gang. I don't know if I can agree that Lyle seems less inclined to be suicidal. I apologize for not feeling up to expounding at the moment and cutting this response short.. Perhaps another time. I intend to complete this and all of my scribblings.
