💯 You're a wordsmith Mirage and a hell of a story teller. I read this slowly and savored it and made it an immersive experience. I can see Parker's hardly noticable reflexive recoil and Jarod's careful wording that way he will slowly say something and pause. This is my continuance choice ...this one or a tie between this, Nemesis, and Circles of hell. It's so plausible and so amazingly well written. Congratulations and thank you for sharing this.

Hey, hey, I'm loving this direction. This began so freaking dark that I feared Jarod and Miss Parker would come to blows and not the good kind oO but through the darkness you found some light for them and awwww, like you I'm not a shipper either but it's so sweet and really intimate the way they have these little talks with each other and it's just like watching them having little talks back when I would watch this series years ago. The dream is alive as long as there are dreamers I guess... please keep writing always.

Jarod being the most Jarod that Jarod has ever been. Parker being the most Parker that Parker has ever been. She always would reach a point of dissolved tension and resignation and confide in him, usually with a laugh of derision that made it clear she wasn't happy or felt any humor. It's nice to see that happen and her accept that her leaving had nothing to do with a change of heart. I think it would be harder to admit that than anything else. A mistake that led to a ten year mistake but like Jarod said here it's just time and it was necessary because she would make the same decision again and at the end of it all their feeilngs didn't change. That is what matters. It's a hell of an insight into the dymanics of relationships, how some people stay together for the wrong reasons and love dies but others separate and ten years later without any contact are still are in love. That's how it goes sometimes. Profound as always Mirage. You're not a shipper but you still get the relationship and you definitely understand love. This is what it's all about. Can't wait for more.

I think you are a romantic. I know you're not a shipper but you know how it is. The way you have Jarod talk about time and how time isn't a measure of love or relationships. It's just time. Bravo! I love this. It fits right in with every episode of The Pretender and is strong enough to be made into a third film. I can't even consider it a slow burn as the fire caught up with Jarod and Miss Parker quickly. They can't outrun that fire. I hope this means there will be closure. You haven't disappointed me yet. Don't worry I'll tell you if do.
I love that you add all of the mannerisms and gestures, all the signs that they are exasperated or irritated. Just wow. You're amazing. Well worth the wait, which hasn't been that bad considering you've been writing other stories and adding completed ones while also writing this. How do you do it without losing your mind? I wouldn't be able to keep up with that and being an adult too. You ARE an adult aren't you? I already crave the next fix.

Top notch mate!! Your prose is clear and exquisite and this is like watching the dvds all over again. I'm enjoying the personal growth, how Miss Parker admits that she didn't leave him because she fell out of love with him and shouldn't be surprised that she still loves him. They just sublty admit their enduring love for each other, and I think that's probably the most beautiful thing in the world. That comraderie they have continues. I don't dare call you a romantic, because I know you're not a shipper and that you believe the two can function fine on their own and alone but Mirage this is really touching to read and seems to epitomize Jarod's belief that life is a gift and that love is always worth the pain. You always go deep. You're not afraid of going deep and being honest. I'm blown away here. More, please?

Oooh. She has been shutting herself down hasn't she? Cos she's afraid she'll kill him? This chapter was the everything falling into place very loudly chapter and some of the mystery unfolds and I'm glad you're not like Steve and Craig cos Ima get old one day and we never know when it's our last day and I don't think we should wasting time dragging fans along to wait for more answers and then new answers and... I already forgot some of their questions so I'm glad you're here with the continuity or I'd lose my mind. Jarod is really sweet doubting his ability to ask her to give them another try after everything she went through and still has no real memory of. It's all reallly complex and you don't mind getting into the psychological aspects of the characters. You have amazing insights. More please. I'm forever impressed.
