Anyhoo you wrote Little Miss Parker brilliantly again.. the petulance and precociousness, the snark. It's brilliant. Her "ew you're sleeping with her" had me loling. Sex is gross at that age and Mirage...but then I stopped laughing because I realized something. You show how children feel about sex and then Jarod and Rachel discuss the abductors and "child prostitution" and how children can't legally consent...with Little Miss Parker's "ew" still fresh in the reader's mind... not to belabor the point but to make us feel something to take us back to childhood when we thought "ew" about sex and now to put us in the shoes of children forced into prostitution to show us that no children don't consent to that because it's "ew". It takes my breath away and it hurts me in my soul. Again I wonder why you are here and not on a best seller's list and I'm grateful to you. You did it subtly too and without getting political.

The way Jarod goes off in his mind about setting the record straight on child prostitution...chilll bumps on my skin. I think you are very similar to Jarod in more ways than you want to admit...and so you can't really hate him can you?

The need for justice comes through in every story you write, the way you protect victims, the way you express empathy and sympathy for victims and what you said about calling a fucking spade a spade and I agree with you and with Jarod (peas in a pod you two) it shouldn't be called child prostitution it should be called paying to rape children because that's what the monsters do...and monsters...

I got the word monsters from another of your stories. I don't think I'm reading more into this than there is... so don't go there. You don't have to get defensive or try to avoid answering my Pretender fanmily friend. You don't even have to respond to this.

You have a sweet soul and a kind heart and and a special careful way with words and you probably have to so people who support a certain politician that trafficked beauty contestants and grabs women by the genitals won't be offended by the truth. We forget about politics and think of only the victims. It's magical Mirage.

Did you like pick his brain about Jarod or something because MY GOD MIRAGE YOU KNOW Jarod so well!  I mean I've never read anyone who captures and illustrates him and his actions and mannerisms so spot on before and that includes the so called official pretender novels. You bring him to life him the real Jarod portrayed by Michael T Weiss. Anyway was that weird to meet him? Were you writing at the time? I'd love to know your thoughts and what you took away from conversing with him. Please let me know and please update all your fics soon. Thank you for this really it means so much to me.

Ok so I love it like crazy. The text being chopped at the top by the Centre use only logo is a pill but yeah that seems to be standard now on all the stories here.

Great stuff here Mirage. You're talented, intelligent, you KNOW these characters and what to do with them. Your characterizations blow me away. The only time they are this real is on the dvds I watch. You're THAT good. Your timing and twists are perfect. I love that Jarod was having a panic attack basically thanks to little miss Parker's appearance and trying to escape her. I especially love his "Thank God and optimized nutritional supplements" comments. God but that was epic. I worried sick about the grown Miss Parker and pissed that Big MP and Jarod weren't actually about to bump uglies but what a stroke of genius this chapter and story is. AN elegant stroke. You are a wordsmith and you are bold. I won't ever understand why you aren't writing the Pretender novels. You should be.
