I began this and starting shaking with excitement and anticipation so I understand Parker's reactions just fine. I've read it 3 times already and it's phenomenal Mirage. I've seen those kinds of dry and parched lands in person and you put me right back there with your descriptions. I'm more of an urban gal now, but there was some beauty back in the rural areas too. You never hold back on us and I'm grateful for that. Thank you. Congratulations on this. I love it already. It hit me right in the Pretender feels.

I had to go ahead and read both chapters without pause.
LOVE Jarod's reaction to Parker NEEDING to do something (him?) and he put her to work. I love that about him.
You prove again that you can write him NOT EVIL too time and time and time again.
It makes sense that she'd be aroused by the new found freedom and avenging Sydney.
I'm kind of weepy about how unconditionally Jarod loves her and how gentle he is and how he was overjoyed that she wasn't injured.
I just can't even find the words.
It's beautiful. I love it.

This is the ending I wanted and one that I deserve. It doesn't end.
They are never-ending just like their love for each other.
They love without having to say the words and you make that obvious.
You're a wordsmith Mirage. The way Jarod gives Parker peace, the thing she needs most, wants my heart.
Aside from perfect I don't know what else to say.

You always draw Jarod as imperfect and show his humanity and flaws. Life can't always align perfectly and he can't always get away with everything he does and always outsmart all of the surprises life throws.I hope Broots will honor the promise. It's such a twist. You were opposed to a sequel. It probably takes the sting out some for you that Broots will be the brain behind stopping Jarod to make it all worth it? It's so full circle in so many ways.
This is so realistic and plausible. This first chapter plunges me in to the scene. I can see the resort and slopes.
It's so professionally written, edited, and I love the action and the closeness between Jarod and Parker that shows the nature of their relationship. It's like they are in love and have a healthy relationship. But we know that's not true .
Sydney explained it all.
The baby was there as a trap. Sydney probably wanted to know how far gone his Jarod is and Jarod we see is long far gone. The violence of pushing Sydney is Jarod rejecting all of the past and fits in with this and what we know
There's so much to think about. I will write essays and journal this and think more .
There is so much more. I examine each word.
I wait impatiently for more .
