LOVE the way you opened this and put us in the action from the first word. Your craft is well honed. Jarod's 'happy to see me' comments had me rotflmfao! SUCH a Jarod thing for him to do. You also reflect real life cops shooting without warning first and trigger happy maniacs shooting people. Your descriptive work is always brilliant. So Jarod now knows his mother is dead. What next? The way Brandt handles that at the end... telling Rachel to stomp off lol was amazing. WOW! Ok so one of my favorite things about Miss Parker is that she'll be so bad ass but every once in a while she'll become so freaking maternal and protective and reveal herself. She did it with Debbie when she threatened to kill Broots if he didn't love her always or something. She did it with Angelo a couple of times. She did it with Broots when she threatened to kill Brigitte if she ever messed with "HER" idiot lol.  She even slipped and did it with Jarod once when she was afraid Barttlett would kill Jarod. I love that she can be passionate and that means I love love love that she was protective of this girl the Centre had locked up. Even though she seems to trust Jarod she will fight for another sister. You show her fighting for women so many times. Thank you for this. Thank you for not just entertaining but informing. Eloquent writing as always.

I totally mangled my review. Should read.. "doing something HE couldn't, and stopping something that should NOT have been started." What I tried to say is that Miss Parker did the RIGHT thing is what I meant by ruining the embryos and I'm glad Jarod didn't freak and didn't give her the moral song and dance. Oh and this line.. "You never confirmed" and Jarod saying "Is that an invitation?" HOT. Love that Miss Parker was speechless. HOT stuff Mirage.

"Put that away before it kills someone." lol. Jarod does have the most brutal and savage.. and beyond mean glare I've ever seen. I mean damnnnnnn. Shit is scary. It's not Jarod's glare I guess. I saw that Burn Notice episode again with Michael you know who. I know you have a whole thing about not saying the names... like we might summon an actor or something? Is that it? He's a google search from showing up here out of curiosity? Or are you just trying to end all gossip as we know it? Anyway will be respectful and not spell it out... but on Burn Notice he was he's like furious the whole time and enraged... I was like damnnnn man. So far from being the sweet Jarod... when Jarod wasn't being evil. I can't even...

I love that Parker is all blase about it all. I love that Jarod expected her to care enough to be angry. She knows he's drunk and that it's a him problem. He should feel bad about the diary. I mean that's her mum's damn diary and he stole it and never gave it to Parker.  If she shoots him for it I'm not going to blame you.

Ok so wow. I bet you didn't know all this #metoo stuff would be trendy when you began writing this months ago did you? Weinstein, Pussy Grabber - in -chief...the reality tv celebrity, and all the hollywood elite men and how they are all sexual predators... so here we are. And I see what you've done here. So many people who aren't #meToo are saying women should have come forward earlier...but some of them might not remember being sexual abused or assaulted and people disassociate and repress and are in denial or don't understand or won't admit that what happened to them is a violation.  Mirage this is everything to me and #meToo and because she is Miss Parker she wants to be stronger and already said she didn't like the way it made her feel in a previous chapter to have remembered being so frightened. Just...god... thank you.  The writing is amazing and thought provoking and she is out of her depth here and I the way you wrote Jarod...oh my GOD! The entire time I'm visualizing Michael T Weiss in all his sweet Jarod-tabulous glory and really, with someone like Parker a man would need to be a sex coach , sex therapist, shrink, and body master lol they are perfectly in character and I love Cate..

Jarod being relieved that because she's not in his bed in his arms he doesn't have to worry she be halfway between sleep and awake and remember. This is so poignant... "timelines and crimes and men inextricably tangled" he is still afraid she's going to get the memories all mixed up.. and that does happen I'm told. I like that Jarod calls himself out on his crimes. Breaking, entering, sedating, abducting...all were crimes. I like the accountability and that you didn't forget about his crimes or try to gloss over it or minimize it. They will be a part of their lives too just as Parker chasing him with a gun will.

The part where she tells him people limp away bleeding when she cuts them from her life, that she has the balls to tell him if it was over, that she's never avoided confrontation is another stroke of genius. I smile like a dummy when I read you because it's like watching the dvds again. I need the next chapter. NOW. And the rest of your fics updated too.
