Brilliant! I think of you plowing away writing all of the time and I feel guilty because I get to read you for free. You get nothing. I want you to know that you are appreciated, your stories mean something. You have made my month. The characters ARE the characters. You nail them every time. Thank you for sharing your talents. You have a gift trust me on that and you're probably too young to know what that means right now. I trust you'll finish this and not leave it unfinished for decades.

Mirage! I love that you keep writing for us and I'm impressed with what you write and your eye for detail. This is just pure awesomeness gold! Syd's internal dialouge is so telling and fitting with what we know and you pay homage over and over to the television series which is what I love. It's no offense intended to the creators or tv writers. There is a top and bottom and saving luke and rebirth are the bottom for me because I fell in love with the original story line from the tv series. That's all so please don't think I'm being mean to the creators who I know you respect and love and care about. I know you're kind and you want everyone to be kind. I'm not being mean. You follow the tv series and I prefer that. That's all. See? Do keep writing for us. I can't get enough. Really top notch writing.

I thought I'd reviewed this one as well. I look forward to the addition of missing pieces and missing chapters that will connect Asphyxia, Incursion, and Wild Horses. I'm curious that Jarod returned to Lyle following everything that happened in Asphyxia and Incursion. I have faith that you will explain more although there could be enough explanation here. Lyle was ordering in human takeaway. Jarod must have found out. My issue is that Lyle isn't in prison after his depravity.. the same issue I had watching The Pretender on tv. It is Lyle. He's kind of like that donald trump loser. Only Lyle is attractive and slender and in good shape. He's teflon Lyle. Guilty but slippery. Spray tan will make people slippery I guess. I think I asswered my own issue. I think there is more to the story. I know there is more because you're adding more and it will be a series. I answered my own question again. I'm thrilled, scared, & thankful. I'm so thankful that you decided to give us this is a series format. I'm beyond excited! Kudos and bravos.

I want to give you props for this. I read this and thought I'd reviewed it but after reading Incursion I came here to reread this part one of the series and dind't see my review. It's terrifying, as is Lyle feasting on women. That's the thing about staying true to characters. Redemption arcs aren't always plausible. This is plausible. Reading Incursion following this story was a seamless transition and demostrates your brilliance. Kudos again.

I'm actually speechless. The seamless merging of the peaceful freedom-refuge with terror and entrapment and the seamless merging of the terror with reality, the way the reader is allowed to SEE everything that has happened and everything that Parker believes is happening, some that she doesn't undersatnd and is confused by, and then that allows us to also see what is actually really happening while she struggles to free herself of webbing.. it is powerful. It's really moving for me. You do really take me there, sink me into the scene.Her brain has been trying to process events, and in fear she sought her mother's refuge, escaped into her mind. There are things that her brain isn't processing. I think that's part of the refuge. The 'strange and violent hammerring" is Jarod "thrusting" Lyle's face into the floor three times.. this does follow Asphyxia perfectly. The pressure in her chest and the lips is jarod performing CPR on her. The sirens, the throat. She was intubated. She escaped all of that trauma by finding her mother but she couldn't run far enough. It's that feeling that something is wrong and you keep running until you can't run anymore. You transported me, took my hand and yanked me into that world. How are you able to do that? Not even Stephen King has done that. Not many authors can do that. This is all plausible, too. It's scarily plausible. You're a hell of an author, Mirage. My sights are set on the next installments.
