I’ve always said Trust can kill you, or set you free. I now understand that I’ve trusted the wrong person with my life. I’m about to die and leave my children alone in this place. I watch as Ethan grabs my finger and hold on for dear life as if he knows something is about to happen. Maybe he does. He’s going to have my gift and so is his sister.

I watch as the Nurse picks up Ethan and then turn to Raines as he brings up the gun in his hand. All I can think about is my babies and hope that they have someone they can trust fully. I wish I could have more time with them, but I know now that I must leave them to fend for themselves.

I watch as Raines points the gun at then shoots and me.
