"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been several years since my last confession."
"What is the nature of your sins, my child?"
There was a pause.
"Impure thoughts."
Another pause.
"When she talks to me. I...imagine things. I picture her. Begging me. I can’t help myself. I...couldn’t help myself."
Shuffling was heard. Then silence.
"I couldn’t wait any longer. I found her. I took her. And just like I imagined, she begged. I can see her lying there. Just as I left her."
Lyle stared down at his hands, still red with the blood of Miss Parker.
