I'm certainly stunned right now young lady.
You launch us into their lives by making it clear that Jarod successfully fled the states with Miss Parker and she appears to willing and that drives home the point that his "therapies" have been successful too.

Oh, I had concerns.
Zachary would be an adult now if I assume correctly that it's been 17 years?

I wasn't expecting this so soon after your conclusion of the Unforseen series . I wasn't expecting a dark Jarod return after so many happier normal Jarod stories.
I just accused you of warming up to Jarod and now you do this?
Mirage you are not easy to figure out.
I find this intriguing and action packed, well written. You check all of the boxes as always.
I'm stunned by the dark direction again.
I'm It's reasonable that Jarod wouldn't want to delay anything by saving the child. It was all a set up it seems. A trap. Smart to do that, use Jarod's flaw to catch him. It seems he no longer has that flaw

It does seem appropriate now... the way the wealthy class gets away with everything (guilty on all counts, but won't be punished or held accountable in any way-- another strawhair, blue eyed--- it isn't lost on me) I thank you for writing this and I know we've talked about your ideas for this. I can't wait for you to write it all. I have been waiting so long for this.
I also think it's appropriate because I need somethig right at this moment and The Pretender and fanfic has always been my safe space. I had to evacuate from the willdfires in Cali and I don't know what will happen now. I take a lot of comfort in art. You and some others here are keeping me from going nuts right now. It might sound cheesy but I've always run away to hide in other universes, books, movies, paintings when mine got too upsetting.
Your universes are so intriguing, exciting. I can see Parker skiing and focus on that for a while.

17 years! I've waited 17 years for a sequel. You've been so opposed to it. I'm surprise, so frigging happy Mirage.
Broots is going to honor the promise I hope? I wonder if he will find them or honor the promise by trying. It could mean either. I hope he catches Jarod. Time to put the Pretender in prison. This is well timed with what just happened in Murica. It must seem like rapists are popular. They just voted one in for president over there in murica. I get why it seems right to do it now.
