I love it! I love your analysis of Gem's response to the storm and its comparison with his life at Donoterase. I'm also intrigued by your tiny section about him being the center of his world, because, interestingly enough, I was contemplating a drabble dealing with the very same issue in regard to Jarod.

Great imagery in this one. The use of the thunderstorm lends this piece an intensity not often found in such short stories. As always, the characterization is spot on. Good job!
