This chapter was well done, in the way you captured Sydney is just as I expect Syd would have been in that age. Jarod, as a young boy dying to learn and yet battered and bruised already because of his nature is hard to see; but most likely what would have happened back in those times.
I am truly loving this story. History has always been a favorite subject so this attempt at moving the characters back in time and keeping them as true to the characters as orignally written is a brave and imaginative piece of creativity. Well done.
Too bad I can't give you more than a 10 for a rating. ;-)

You guys have a wonderful story! I can't wait for the next chapter! Very interesting time period and interpretation of what would happen in this time period. Is Angelo going to make an appearance, and will Jarod teach Miss Parker about things she does not know about? There are so many directions you can go with this! I suspect bad things with the Duke and how he will use Jarod. I love the interactions between Miss Parker and Jarod and hope you will have more of those in the next chapter.
