Every time I see anything by you writers I hope it is this story! I know it may be a bit more taxing to write, but believe me if you knew how much I and most likely others have totally fallen for it you would be typing your fingers off!
Seriously, I do hope you all get together and manage to work on this story. I love it (but then I love history and the Pretender and sci fi so it fits perfectly with my reading lists!)
HA HA.. I almost said if you finish this you could pick something for me to write... then I caught myself...never promise something you may not be able to deliver! whew...
I will continue to look and hope for more of this. Thank you for the work so far.

Finally had the time to begin and read this story. I only read the first chapter, but I enjoyed it. I love that the young Miss Parker is so feisty and rebels. I understand she wants to go hunting and learn things in staid of going to a needlepoint class. Can’t imagine Miss Parker sowing something. Lol Great chapter!

Just caught up with this story, and WOW! I'd seen the whole AU-historical-fiction angle done by other fandoms, and it always ended up seeming contrived. Not so here. The characters are somehow completely in character and completely adapted for the time period. In some ways, they almost make more sense here than in the series. I'm glad you took the time to set the stage and I'm very excited to see where this goes.
Should have known Uncle Jarod would rise to the challenge. Kudos Jacci and Kye!

You know, this would make a wonderful challenge, to do a Pretender in another time. Making each character fit in as that character would.. or wouldn't as the case may be.
It would be a wonderful excuse to play with everyone's favorite time in history, and for us readers think how much fun it would be to see!

I loved it. Very imaginative and creative. I love alternate universe pieces! there are so many new and interesting directions to take them.
Seeing the characters in this one is certianly unusual. I figured Sydney would be a tutor of some sort, but can't imagine Parker one not learning Latin and 5 or 6 other languages, She certainly had Lyle beat when it came to IQ and Wit.
I can't wait to see where you go with this. I know Parker is not going to sit back and behave, but have to wonder when we see Lyle start to go off the deep end... or maybe he doesn't here, since so far Raines hasn't gotten his twisted fingers on him.
hmmm wonder what Raines was, the village idiot or maybe Merlin gone bad. And Broots now he would have been the village inventor! It's fun just to guess where they would have been.

Thanks nightowl, im glad you like it. Yeah, i do like the AU pieces too, you can go into so many other directions and I'm happy you are lovig it so far! As for the characters, we have tired to keep them in their roles as much as possible, so yes Syd is the mentor in this one too. The thing with Parker though, this is the 15th c, it wasnt allwoed for woman to read and write back then, so she as smart and bright as she is, she can not do it, so we just have to wait and see how Parker goes in the story lol. I love this story! I have never read an AU pretender story like this before! In a strange way it works! I love the adventurous, little Miss Parker. Are you going to take this story into Jarod and Miss Parker's adulthood? And are the circle of stones that Jarod liked to go to Stonehenge? Just curious;) Awaiting the next chapter!!

This fic was one of our lovley jacci's ideas and it turned out well. as for where we take it and how far into their lives, well then, you just have to wait and see lol. As for the stone circle, that does come up a few times in the story, yes it is StoneHenge (Always thought it was in scotland lol, nope, england! lol)

Honestly, at first i was a little worried. It was so much AU and I feared that you might not be able to pull it of. But I'm very happy to say I was wrong.
Really like this story and I'm curios of what will happen next. And poor Parker, being forced to wear dresses when all you want is to run outside and play is awful.
