I have so much love for this story. I've just started re-watching seasons 1 and 2, and you're dead on with all of Jarod's questions that just aren't quite "normal." And I love that you didn't just decide to have Jarod take a break from Pretending to be a librarian and read Harry Potter, but are managing to not make it the pretend the cetner of the story.
But the blood spatter line was hilarious. I'd give you a 10 if it went into Jarod's thoughts on books 4 and 5 (and an "11" if you updated with the complete series).

Ohoh, a library approach. I have been waiting to read one of these! I like this story :)
I'm not a great fan of Harry Potter myself, but I must admit the 2 movies I so far have seen were enjoyable. It certainly makes sense Jarod would identify with Harry and also spot other kinds of clever things in those books, not to mention being so absorbed by this kind of books overall.

Only one chapter? While I am not a Harry Potter fan, this is great and there is so much you can do with the theme! It would be a shame to stop here.
BTW....kudos on keeping Jarod in character. Nicely done and that is not a easy thing to do.
