Just ran across this story and you're right, knowing the character in advance would have totally spoiled it. Very creative and well-written. The twist at the end was a real surprise.

Ohhh.... I sooooo liked that. But you tricked me, I thought it was Jarod at first. That Mr Lyle is a very bad man, but oohh so delicioously so. Seductively written as well, very smooth.
