(Sorry I missed this on ff.net, but my adversion to that site is bordering on silly.)

I really enjoyed this. At first I thought it was Jarod sort of thinking about his affect on Miss Parker, but then as the piece continued I decided it was Sydney. Which makes it even more interesting because he's really an outsider to their dynamic so can see the effects on both of them, that they can't see in themselves.

I enjoyed the metaphor about her armour, so much is referenced to that in the show that I always enjoy when someone carries it through to a fanfic. I'm not entirely sure about her inspirative quote, it sort of reminds me of the "hang in there kitty" poster. I like the idea, but my own head is saying something of the "any man who falls behind can be trodden on as you rise above" sort of quote.

I skipped the song; I always do.

I really loved the end quote She walks into work Monday like nothing's wrong. She does this because nothing is wrong.

She's fine again.

It speaks so much for her character. She likes to think that nothing is getting to her as it chip-chip-chips away at her.
