Jarod

Jarod, played by Michael T Weiss is a Pretender and is on the run from The Centre. Along the way he makes a lot of discoveries.

He spent almost all of his life locked in cells in The Centre's sub levels, being made to work on simulations, that he later found out were used to kill. He was taught and moulded to be able to become anyone he chose to be and perform so well no one would ever be able to tell he was just 'pretending'.

He later escaped with two other pretenders, seeing the outside world for the first time since he was young. It was a world full of discoveries for the grown man, seeing and experiencing things he had never known of before.

Jarod has a very complex relationship with Sydney, the man who 'handled' him during his entire imprisonment at The Centre. His feelings about Jarod being captured change during the course of the pursuit? and he is quite ambivalent about it now.

He lived practically his entire life in the sublevels of the Centre, no exposure to the real world or popular culture.

Now he Pretends to be anyone he wants to be, accumulating an impressive amount of aliases, in order to help people while he continues to search for his family.

He keeps a record of his pretends in red notebooks, the same as the ones that he used to use when he was at the Centre.
